We are thrilled to introduce our newest members of the Neolth Student Advisory Board! This group of students and recent graduates are working towards more accessible, equitable mental health resources for youth everywhere.
Payton, a junior at Lane Tech College Prep in Chicago, is a passionate debater with a keen interest in identity and ontology. She intends to incorporate these subjects into her future endeavors in business and law, driven by a strong belief in the importance of diverse perspectives and engaging youth. As a Neolth Mental Health Ambassador, Payton achieved the Science Communicator Award in their 2024 Innovation Challenge and has researched youth sports' impact on mental health. She is now the project lead on “Aid with Perspective,” uniting diverse ambassadors to address teen concerns about mental health, school, and identity. Payton is a dedicated advocate with a strong community focus, driven by a vision to inspire others through her actions and excited to continue this work as a Student Advisor!
Hi I’m Susan! I’ve been passionate about the mental health space ever since I started to struggle with my mental health early on in college. Since then I’ve dedicated my time in work and personal life to advocate for young people who also go through mental health struggles.
I wish I had Neolth as a resource when I was in my 20’s! The young people involved in Neolth's various programs always impress me with their life experiences, their passion for making mental health resources/support better for young people, and even being a supportive shoulder for each other. The ambassadors, interns, advisory committee, and leadership team don’t just have a passion for mental health and the future of young people but care about young people’s lives and how mental health experiences impact a young persons life if not supported with the right community. I have a degree in Psychology, am an Artificial Intelligence for Good Innovation Specialist, and dedicate my life to making mental health care more accessible by creating digital health solutions.
Hello! My name is Bachir Khoukhi, I'm a senior at Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School, located in Jersey City, NJ and I am particularly driven by a commitment to academic excellence, social impact, and community service. Having immigrated to the U.S. at the age of three, I leverage my diverse experiences to spearhead numerous large-scaled initiatives under various industries/concepts as well as coordinate tutoring programs to give back to my community. With leadership positions in various organizations and a focus on social justice, I actively work to destigmatize mental health issues and bring light to the many issues society faces. After witnessing the rise of mental health issues within school systems in the U.S., I'm eager and thrilled to work with Neolth to further the mission of providing accessible mental health resources to students.
We're also extending a warm welcome to new Student Advisors Poorvi Vijayananda and Maanika Nambudiri!
We want to thank our wonderful group of advisors for their continued hard work and dedication to making a difference in the mental health of students everywhere!
