We are thrilled to introduce our largest intern cohort to date - our new Fall 2022 interns! This diverse group of students and educators are working towards more accessible, equitable mental health resources for students everywhere.
Education Interns
Our education interns, Isabelle, Elizabeth, and Lavaniya, are spending the semester working on our Educator Platform and community. They are creating CASEL-appropriate social-emotional learning lesson plans for educators to use on Neolth and helping to build a community of educators around the country to expand access to SEL and mental health curriculum in schools. With a diverse background in education, mental health, and SEL, this group brings invaluable insights into what educators need and want in an SEL product.
Outreach Interns
Our outreach interns, Drishti, Lauren, and Yasmeen, are spending the semester working on various outreach projects and marketing materials. They've already written a variety of informational blogs for the Forum (check back soon for those!), and will continue working on business and outreach initiatives such as lead generation and developing user personas. This incredible group of students brings creativity and a deep understanding of the student experience, allowing them to speak to the true needs of students across the country.
Content Creation Interns
Our content creation interns, Jasmine, Taylor, Emily, and Maya, are led by our long-time Ambassador and Intern, Margaret, in creating content! This group creates weekly blogs and videos for the Neolth app, sharing their personal experiences with mental health, including their struggles with dyslexia and ADHD, anxiety, and being a first-generation student. Their work will help us to break down the stigma around mental health, making their peers feel less alone. It will also allow school staff to gain insight into what students are really going through - and make decisions about how to support them accordingly. Stay tuned for their blog and video series', going live later this year!
Social Media Interns
Our social media interns, Maya, Jasmine, Kristel, and Hanya, are led by Nyesha in creating social media content for all Neolth channels as well as contributing to marketing strategy. Their posts are already going live weekly on Instagram and Facebook, and will soon be featured on Twitter and LinkedIn (follow us @neolth to see their incredible work!). This group comes from a diverse background of mental health, marketing, and communications to work towards a well-rounded social media strategy and some powerful content.
Engagement Interns
Last but certainly not least, our engagement interns, Aliza, Pari, Burgundy, La'Toya, Kristel, Kara, and Spencer, are working on a variety of projects with our Outreach & Engagement Specialist, Khrystina. Each intern will host an event or webinar for students and/or educators this semester, completely planned and executed by them! They also help Khrystina to lead and manage our Student Mental Health Ambassador Program, creating a more engaging and impactful experience for all. Kara and Spencer, in particular, are working towards building our educator community with these events and other community building best practices. Stay tuned for announcements of their plans soon!
We want to thank our wonderful group of interns for their continued hard work and dedication to making difference in the mental health of students everywhere. We're consistently impressed with their ideas, professionalism, and bravery in their pursuit of this mission.
