Announcing Neolth's 2024 Ambassador Innovation Challenge
March 10, 2024 - Los Angeles, California
To foster collaboration and innovation within our student ambassador program, Neolth is launching our first innovation challenge for ambassadors to participate in throughout the Spring 2024 semester! This innovation challenge, as a new initiative, will serve as a way for students to increase their involvement and leadership in the company.
The intent to participate form is the first step of this challenge for all interested students and must be submitted by March 31, 2024 at this link.
This innovation challenge will be a self-directed project for students worldwide ages 14+. This peer-to-peer opportunity will also be an open platform to cultivate learning and professional growth — as ambassadors learn from and become a resource for other ambassadors. Students participating in this challenge will learn to align company business objectives and users’ design needs in the creation of mental health support systems. The end goal of this challenge is to create a seamless user experience for students for care across the continuum, from prevention to crisis.
Ambassadors can choose to collaborate in groups of 2-4 or work individually. Each group will choose one of the below categories for their project:
Prevention & Education: Mental health education and awareness programs like self-guided apps and school curriculum
Community & Social Support: Virtual communities and peer support that facilitate a sense of belonging and reduced stigma
Mental Health Care & Therapy: Direct work with a mental health professional, including (but not limited to) outpatient therapy, inpatient & intensive outpatient care, etc.
Crisis & Emergency Care: On-demand resources for urgent mental health issues like hotlines and textline as well as traditional care like emergency rooms
Once each group chooses a category, the challenge will center around creating an innovative digital solution for students. This solution must be relevant to Neolth, in that it can be incorporated into the app as a new feature or linked within the app as a referral resource.
This challenge will align with dates throughout the Spring 2024 semester. This timeline was designed to be flexible with our ambassadors’ schedules, with time between deliverables to ensure that students can put in their best effort for their submissions.
All ambassadors & interns wanting to participate should submit an intent to participate form including their group name, chosen innovation category, and group members. Keep in mind that you can also participate in this project as an individual. The intent to participate form is the first step of this challenge and must be submitted by March 31, 2024 at this link.
Later in the semester, ambassadors will submit a brief written summary of their digital innovation & final presentation in the format of their choosing. Based on the evaluations of each team’s project, both team and individual awards will be offered in June 2024.
More information to come. Special thanks to Lead Ambassador Aliza Lopez for her leadership organizing this innovation challenge!
