Aliza Lopez is a freshman at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York majoring in Neuroscience and Health Policy. She joins Neolth as a Student Advisor, to help the company in their continued commitment to improved product design & student-centered experiences.
Aliza has been a Student Ambassador with Neolth since 2020. As the leader of our Outreach Committee, Aliza oversaw lead gen initiatives for school & ambassador growth. Aliza has been a part of Neolth’s marketing efforts as a contributing author to our customer communications pack and forum. She has also organized webinars and other company events as well as created content for the community section of Neolth’s app.
Aliza was a previous youth leader at Hopelab, a social innovation lab and impact investor who’s advancing solutions that support, affirm, and empower young people. As part of her term at Hopelab, she launched a national research study to examine how the mental health and wellness of specific demographics is impacted by resource accessibility and representation — including FGLI groups, POC, and other marginalized communities. The final project was presented to Youth Lab executives at Hopelab as a model for future mental health studies and research for the organization's products.
Additionally, as a delegate at YOUNGA by BridgingTheGap Ventures, Aliza co-pioneered the creation of the 2022 Youth Delegate Communique for UN Decade of Action to completion for the Mental Health working group. She presented key issues and recommendations for healthcare stakeholders in a briefing, which was distributed to UN-affiliated groups and organizations.
Aliza has further leadership experience as the Founder and Director of Medicine Encompassed and a youth leader of the Youth Leadership Cohort at YLabs. She’s received multiple awards for her work at Neolth and in youth advocacy, including the 2023 mPower Award from Mental Health America.
When asked about Neolth Aliza said, "I've always believed that collaborative, digital advocacy is not just a benefit for its accessibility, but it is a flexible platform for engaging global populations. The strategic use of media and these interactive platforms can deliver values and practices in concise, streamlined ways that are appropriate to young people… [I joined Neolth’s advisory council because] having more young people at the forefront of these movements definitely builds on productivity, inclusion, and rapport… which Neolth and its students are committed to.”
Neolth is looking forward to working with Aliza to support student wellbeing. Welcome Aliza to the team!
